We had such an extraordinary stay at Tailwind Jungle Lodge. My partner and I were looking for somewhere to completely disconnect from our busy lives for a week and be one with nature. This was definitely the place to do that !!
Tamara, Walter and their lovely family were superb hosts, making sure we were comfortable and sharing stories of how their jungle project came to be. We stayed in Parota, a beautiful palapa with kitchen open to the jungle. I love to read and this was the absolute best place to do that. Supremely relaxing and nurturing. There’s a beautiful secluded beach a 20 minute hike away and a pool for refreshing dips at the end of the day on the property. A 10mn drive on a twisting jungle road brings you to the charming town of San Pancho with it’s lively music scene and tasty restaurants. I can’t recommend the experience enough !!

My stay at Tailwinds was incredible, and exactly what I needed during my stay in San Pancho. I took a few nights away to go explore the jungle and unwind, and cannot get over how amazing it was. To say I left feeling inspired and recharged is to say the least. There is so much magic to be witnessed in the jungle, and the family warmly welcomed me in a way that I instantly felt at home. I will most definitely be back!!

Casita Pumita – With two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, and spacious indoor and outdoor living areas, Casita Pumita is ideal for families or multiple generations traveling together. The rooftop deck is a favorite for stargazing and whale watching.
Casita Tejone – Perfect for adventurous families who love nature. This cozy jungle home offers plenty of privacy, a kitchenette, and a fun loft bedroom accessed by ladder that kids especially enjoy.
