Unplug, rejuvenate, and explore natural paradise on Mexico’s Pacific coastline in San Pancho, Nayarit — just north of Puerto Vallarta. The Tailwind Jungle Lodge is an ecolodge created with love by the Jacobi family in 2005. Our eco-lodge welcomes families, yoga/wellness retreats, and adventure travelers from the USA, Canada and Mexico to the UK, Europe and beyond. Solo travelers, couples, families and groups alike delight in this vibrant jungle, stunning wild beaches and natural experience.
Our jungle motto? Slow down and enjoy life! Creatively designed palapas and casitas are perched among the palms, offering glamping and tree-house-style comfort with a touch of Swiss Family Robinson magic. Every day here brings a new adventure: jungle hikes, sailing, surfing, yoga, massage, SUP, exploring the local community, or simply relaxing in a hammock.

Where is the ecolodge located?
The Tailwind Jungle Lodge is located in the jungle just 5 km (10 minutes by car) north of San Pancho. Surrounded by nature yet easily accessible by rental car or taxi, we're about one hour from Puerto Vallarta International Airport. See our location here.
Can I host a retreat at Tailwind Jungle Lodge?
Yes! For nearly two decades, Tailwind Jungle Lodge has hosted transformative retreats of all kinds, including yoga, wellness, meditation, adventure, and personal growth experiences. Our peaceful jungle setting, open-air yoga palapa, pool, and accommodations for up to 14 guests (17 with couples) provide an ideal environment for meaningful connection, learning, and renewal. What is the Tailwind Jungle Lodge?
The Tailwind Jungle Lodge is a family-owned eco-lodge located in the jungle near San Pancho. Since 2007, we've welcomed travelers seeking a deeper connection with nature through comfortable jungle accommodations ( ideal for solos, couples and families), wellness retreats, and authentic adventures on Mexico's Pacific coast.
How close is the beach?
The nearest beach is a 20–30 minute walk from the lodge along a beautiful jungle trail. Wild, pristine, and one of our favorite places in the world, it's the perfect spot to explore, watch for whales and enjoy natural paradise. There are also many other beaches nearby (some great for walking, swimming, surfing, etc.) and we're always happy to recommend our favorite local spots.
Is the lodge family-friendly?
Yes! The Tailwind Jungle Lodge welcomes families of all ages. Kids love exploring the jungle trails, spotting wildlife, swimming in the pool, and boogie boarding and surfing. Some accommodations are better suited to families with young children, so please inquire about the best option for your family's needs.
Is there Wifi?
Yes. We offer Starlink Wi-Fi in our office area, while guest accommodations are intentionally free from screens and internet access. Many guests appreciate the opportunity to unplug, slow down, and reconnect with nature, while still having access to reliable internet when needed.
